Both Jobber and Housecall Pro come with robust features. Basic features like Quotes / Estimates, Job Management, Billing & Invoicing, Service History Tracking are available on both the platforms

Jobber comes with a unique feature, it comes with a built-in “Inventory Control” feature. This feature can also be integrated into Housecall Pro using Quickbooks Online Plus.

Housecall Pro comes with a website builder which allows you to easily create a website for your company. Clients can book services through your website or from your Facebook page.

Which one is easier to use?

Much like the dashboard on your car, both the software provide you with a dashboard when you sign in. The dashboard provides you with a snapshot of everything going on under the hood.

Jobber has a simple dashboard with all the necessary reports neatly arranged, clicking on these reports takes you to the full view of that particular report and then you get a sidebar dashboard from where you can see all other listed reports.

Housecall Pro has a dashboard similar to Jobber. It provides you with important summaries and allows you to go into detail once you click on the snapshots.

Housecall Pro’s dashboard

Both the software provides you with a guide, right from getting started to using more advanced features, a comprehensive help section with how-to articles, FAQs, and tutorial videos are also provided.

We read a couple of guides and saw that both are quite similar and super-easy to use. Both offer a comfortable and user-friendly platform that’s simple to learn and use.

Overall, we have to give Housecall Pro the nod here. Jobber has a minimal dashboard and limited data on the other hand Housecall Pro has a much valuable and rich dashboard and the various graphs on the dashboard make it much easier to get an overview of the business.

Which one is easier to deploy?

Cloud-based solutions are platform-independent which means you can access your company dashboard from any computer.

You can also install their mobile app on your iPhone or Android smartphone.

You can also integrate other apps like QuickBooks and Zapier on both Jobber and Housecall Pro.

Overall, both Jobber and Housecall Pro are easy to deploy.

Since Jobber and Housecall Pro are both cloud-based solutions you don’t have to install any heavy software on your computer, you can just use the web browser to access your dashboard and get started.

Who provides better customer support?

Many users have positive words to say about Jobbers’s support team. If you need help or have a question/technical issue, you can instantly join with a customer support specialist.

Also, Jobber has been named a Silver Stevie® winner at the 14th annual Stevie® Awards for Customer Service in the Computer Software. Jobber also claims that their average wait time is just 36 seconds.

What about Housecall Pro’s customer service? Like Jobber, Housecall Pro offers great customer service. You can ask questions in their community section. You can also chat with the support team for any additional help.

Overall, both Jobber and HousecallPro offer great customer service, but Jobber has a lesser waiting time than Housecall Pro also, not to forget the Stevie® Award. Therefore, Jobber wins this round.

Which Field Service Management Solution Offers The Best Value?

You might have checked a couple of free Field Service Management Software but we don’t suggest them because they’re all terrible.

The truth is: running a software business is insanely expensive.

Which is why all the good FSM software are paid (and somewhat expensive compared to other FSM software).

With that, let’s see which Field Service Management solution offers up the best value…

Housecall Pro

Housecall Pro’s monthly price ranges from around $65-$229 (with significant discounts if you pay yearly).

Housecall Pro is slightly expensive than Jobber but you need those graphs and a minimal design dashboard which is super easy to use, at $65 per month we consider Housecall Pro a great value.

Jobber

A Jobber subscription ranges from $49-$279 per month (with significant discounts if you opt for the annual plan).

Jobber has all the features that an ideal Field Service Management software should have with all that great stuff you get world-class support.

So for $29 USD/month (if you pay yearly) Jobber is the best value.

All in all, you can’t go wrong with a subscription to Jobber.

And The Winner Is…

Value for money

Ease-of-Use

Customer Support

Advanced Features

Mobile App

Based on factors we’ve considered, Jobber definitely comes out on top. It’s got all the features needed to be an ideal Field Service Management solution, it is affordable and provides award-winning customer support.
