Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Cookie Dough
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- Mix the wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the 2 eggs, 100g granulated sugar, and 180g light brown sugar until well combined. Add the melted 160g salted butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
- Add the dry ingredients: Stir in 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon baking soda. Gradually add 285g bread flour or all-purpose flour until the dough forms. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips: Gently fold in the 70g white chocolate chips and 160g semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Step 2: Prepare the Brownie Batter
- Mix the wet ingredients: In another large bowl, whisk together the 2 eggs, 95g granulated sugar, and 205g light brown sugar until well combined. Add the melted 200g salted butter and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
- Add the dry ingredients: Stir in 1/2 teaspoon salt and 70g cocoa powder. Gradually add 125g bread flour or all-purpose flour until the batter is smooth and glossy.
- Fold in the chocolate chips: Gently fold in the 180g semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Step 3: Assemble the Brownies
- Layer the cookie dough: Spread half of the cookie dough evenly in the prepared baking dish. Press it down gently to create an even layer.
- Add the Oreos: Place 25 Oreos in a single layer on top of the cookie dough. If using the frozen sheet of Nutella, place it on top of the Oreos.
- Add the brownie batter: Pour the brownie batter over the Oreos (and Nutella, if using), spreading it evenly to cover them completely.
- Top with cookie dough and Oreos: Drop spoonfuls of the remaining cookie dough over the brownie batter, then gently press the remaining 8 Oreos into the top.
Step 4: Bake and Enjoy
- Bake the stuffed brownies in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with only a few moist crumbs attached.
- Cool and serve: Allow the brownies to cool completely in the baking dish before slicing and serving. This helps them set and makes slicing easier.
Tips and Variations
- Make it extra chocolaty: Add a layer of chocolate ganache or drizzle melted chocolate over the top for an extra indulgent touch.
- Switch up the mix-ins: Feel free to substitute the white chocolate chips and semi-sweet chocolate chips with your favorite mix-ins, such as peanut butter chips, caramel bits, or chopped nuts.
- Serve with ice cream: For an extra special treat, serve your stuffed brownies warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
These stuffed brownies are sure to be a hit at any gathering or as a special treat for yourself.
